Mexican black kingsnake (Lampropeltis getula nigrita) - Found in Sonora Desert, Northwestern Sinaloa, Mexico, and parts of Arizona - Lest Concern - "The total adult population size is unknown but certainly exceeds 100,000 and probably exceeds 1,000,000. Its extent of occurrence, area of occupancy, number of subpopulations, and population size are probably relatively stable...Local declines probably have occurred in areas where habitat has been intensively developed for human uses, but in most of the range this species is not threatened."
