Rain clouds gather over Jakarta's central business district, as two of the city's slum resents look over one of the canals that were built to help deal with floods. According to the Jakarta Globe "Indonesia has been experiencing its most extreme weather conditions in recorded history…All regions across the archipelago have been experiencing abnormal and often catastrophic weather."
