Bawangling Leopard Gecko (Goniurosaurus bawanglingensis) - Hainan Island, China - Genus of 17 Geckos found only in China, Japan and Vietnam - Not listed by IUCN but two species of Goniurosaurus are classified as Endangered. "Currently almost all members of the genus Goniuorosaurus are popular in the international pet trade; this has already caused the local extinction of the related G. luii at its type locality in southern China shortly after its description."
