A woman and bird bathe in a lake created behind the Lower Sesan II dam. The region began to flood in 2017 when the new Chinese financed dam was built by the Cambodian government on the lower reaches of the Mekong River. Families were forced to relocate when the lake overtook local villages with little to no warning.
